Tips for Cold Weather Running
It may seem like spring with the nice weather we've been having, but we still have 2 months of winter left! Keep these winter running tips in mind if Old Man Winter makes it to Columbus this year.
- Wear clothing that is moisture-wicking. Your body sweats even when it is cold, so you want to wear fabrics that will pull the cold sweat away from your body to help keep you warm and dry.
- Dress for weather that is 20 degrees warmer than it is. You may be chilly at the start, but it will prevent you from overheating once you begin your run.
- Cover your extremities. Heat escapes your head, hands and feet quicker than the rest of your body, so be sure to wear warmer gloves and socks and cover your head as much as possible.
- It's okay to run inside. If you feel that you can not get the workout in that you need to by going outside, then it is best to find an alternative indoors, such as treadmill or cross training.
Winter Apparel Sale
Just in case the cold weather does show up, select winter apparel is now 20% off.
