Volunteers Needed for the Columbus Marathon
A lot of things have to go right to run or walk a marathon or half-marathon.  Nobody can have the race of their life without the support from the Volunteers who dedicate their day to the welfare of the runners and walkers who take on the challenge.  Volunteers keep the roads clear of traffic, keep the athletes hydrated and cheer them on through those tough stretches.  From the time a "want-to-be" marathoner picks up their race packet, to the moment they receive their finishers medal, Volunteers are there to make it all happen.  So, if you are not taking on the challenge of going 26.2 or 13.1 miles on Sunday October 18th, take on an even greater challenge. The Columbus Marathon and Half Marathon are looking for Volunteers.  If you are interested, please click here for more information.

"Long Road to Boston" Book Signing September 20th
On Sunday September 20th, from noon to 5pm, FrontRunner will have local author, and OSU Professor, Bruce Tuckman signing his book "Long Road to Boston." The author has run 33 marathons and three ultramarathons, but after completing his last 26-miler at Boston, he said the all-too-familiar frustration of unfulfilled expectations was even more accute than usual.  He knew he could do better, if only in his imagination.  Thus, was born his book "Long Road to Boston."  A splendid work of fiction which will entertain and inspire all those intrigued by the marathon and the allure of Boston.

Route 315 Construction Update
Three miles of State Route 315 has been under construction since June 15, 2009 from I-670 to North Broadway.  ODOT Crews are working on several bridges and the pavement to improve conditions for the 70,000 vehicles that use this gateway every day.  The Lane Avenue exits off of SR315 are open and will remain open, allowing access to FrontRunner and the other places of interest on Lane Avenue.  There are some restrictions with the entrance ramps from Lane Avenue to SR315.  Alternative routes to SR315 are clearly marked with road signs.  For more information on this construction projects, please visit www.buckeyetraffic.org/315.
